STM Jersey are introducing their new South African Hybrid Unit Trust Structure at this year’s Jersey Finance South Africa Roadshow events. The events will take place in Johannesburg on Tuesday 30 October 2018 and in Cape Town on Wednesday 31 October 2018.
The South African Hybrid Unit Trust Structure (SA HUTS) has been designed by STM Jersey specifically for mass affluent and high-net-worth South African residents wishing to accumulate and preserve their wealth and having financial objectives for their families.
As a boutique trust company where personal service is at the heart of client relationships, STM Jersey take pride in delivering flexible and affordable solutions. As innovators in their field, STM Jersey continue to develop new financial products and services, keeping pace with ever-changing financial and fiscal environments to remain at the forefront in servicing an international client base whose needs cover a broad spectrum of assets and activities under management.
Linda Nicol, Managing Director at STM Jersey, said:
“The SA HUTS is not another pension or discretionary trust. It is a unique hybrid structure which, having taken advice on the applicable South African tax laws, we believe will answer the challenges we face given the recent tax changes in South Africa.
We live in a time of political uncertainty and escalating inflation rates combined with the devaluation of the Rand. It is important to offer a product that will safeguard our clients’ wealth for them and their families.”
