Operations Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Gibraltar

Reporting to: Head of Operations

JOB OBJECTIVE

To work with staff and senior management to deliver compliance and internal audit requirements. To assist in areas of the business requiring mathematical and analytical skills.

To provide general support to the Head of Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Documentation Changes
    • Assisting with upgrading and re-drafting STM Life Assurance documentation to meet changing business needs
  • Legal Issues
    • Assisting with providing information to internal and external lawyers, where required
  • Complaints 
    • Liaising with Team Leaders and assisting them with managing responses to complaints within agreed timeframes
  • Assisting the Head of Operations within Compliance and Risk and Internal Audit
    • Responding to audit reports
    • Implementing audit outcomes
    • Re-drafting workflows, policies, and procedures
    • Training staff in the new processes
    • Producing management information in relation to Compliance and Risk
  • External Communication 
    • Assisting in the delivery of communications to external parties
  • GDPR Compliance
    • Assisting the Head of Operations in managing the businesses data protection responsibilities and maintaining compliance with data protection policies

EXPERIENCE

Education / Qualifications / Training

  • Minimum ‘A’ Level in Maths and Science

Key Abilities / Skills / Knowledge

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong mathematics ability
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
